My #1 buddy, 7 month old Argentine Black & White Tegu.
15.5" Long, as healthy as they come, can't wait to see him at 4' long in a year or so.

Argentine's are renowned as the most tame of the large lizards, by a long shot, as well as one of the most intelligent.
Kimo is no different, for being a 7 month old lizard he has a great temperament! Although he has his bad days like anyone else, in general we get along very well.
As he grows, he will get even better!
An idea of what to expect as an adult:

YouTube - black and white tegu respond to her name (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr9gEO8KmYY)
Tegu's not only respond to their name, they actually crave their owners attention. About as close to a dog as you can get in the reptile world :)

Haha, I tried to decipher your first message to the best of my ability...
But as I said, yes they are generally very mellow lizards.
