CanadianEryx

Hello Everyone! I joined this forum back in January, but I have recently changed my profile name: I was once a-vdberg and am now CanadianEryx. I just thought I would re-introduce myself since I don't know how much I said back when I first started here. My name is Anita and I am a mom of four kids and one son-in-law. Only my two youngest boys live with my husband and I, but our house always seems full. I received my little ksb, Eryx, last December as a gift from my kids. They have always known that I wanted a snake so they finally decided to allow me the joy of ownership. I've had my difficulties over the past few months with Eryx not shedding properly and going on a six week fast, but things are going well now. I'm here to learn all I can about snakes and ksbs in particular. If anyone wants a great snake to start with I definitely would suggest a sand boa--despite their burrowing habit, they are calm and love to be held. They also stay fairly small so their viv and substrate and food costs are not exorbitant. Anyway, I've changed my name to better reflect my love of the erycine family and the fact that I am proudly Canadian. I love being here and I look forward to learning and passing on knowledge that I have gleaned!
