This is my 1st ever lizard, my bearded dragon witch im guessing is around 7 months old.. growing very fast and eating like a champ!

in a 20 gal long, with head for basking, and a uva/uvb light bulb. 3/17/11 i just put substrate in his enclosure. i usually hand feed, or hes got a lot of bowls, so im not worrying about ingesting any sand/coco bark...

Rob- thanks!they are very fun! mines hard to handle though, he is really flighty and wants to run around, so im waiting till he gets bigger so im not scared that i will smash him if i have to grab him fast... lol

Jenn- thanks you:) they are a lil bit of work. i feed him every morning and sometimes at night. clean out cage/bowls every day. then once he eats veggies and fruits, ill have to get them ready too.. they are awesome thought!!!!

*** SHE IS really settling down... lets me pet her head a bit, and rub her back, still skiddish when i go to pick her up, but i can. eating a little bit bigger crickets now and a TON of greens (mostly collard greens) he loves them and mealworm!!

i am thinking of getting rid of the paper towel, and getting green repti carpet?

By picking her up you might be scaring her and putting the time it takes for her to get used to you significantly farther away, try to use food to coax her onto your hand, once she does this for a while try it with your hand moving a little and move from there.

i feed his greens with my hand already, its NOTHING like it was when i went to pick him up, but i only try and pick him up every 2-3 days... but usually daily i feed him by hand, and rub his head..

7/18/11 UPDATE!!!!

he is still skiddish, but ALOT better, i can pet his head and stuff, and hold him, but not calm yet... hes finally getting some nice yellow color to him with grey looking stripes, i wish i cold get a pic of that...:) enjoy:)
