Haha! I thought this was Snakesitter's thread until I read the third comment xD

At any rate, she's gorgeous~ :D I think Hypos have that orange color you were looking for. Mine's a Hypo, but he's only a baby, so I'm not sure how his ending color will be. I can't wait 'til he's as old as yours! I'm so jealous D;

I think you may be right. Still i have seen adults like mine and they are absoulty stunning. im just happy she is tame, i couldnt deal wiht a 7-9ft snake being as snippy as my baby pastel LOL!

and yea, i got the idea from "snakesitter"

I can imagine. I hope mine stays really tolerant of mine handling. He's never struck, bit, or anything by far, even in shed! Hate to think of a 5 - 7ft. aggressive boa D;

Yeah Nona is quite brown too. I chose her cuz she had the most white on her sides,which is my favorite aspect of the BRB's coloring. When it's appropriate, I hope to find a male who is.more.reddish with white sides.to breed her with, then somehow talk my wife into keeping the pick of the clutch. That doesn't sound too far-fetched, does it? (-:

besides she was the last that the breeder had, i chose her because of the white on her belly and the markings on the side. i am very happy with her. i thought about breeding her but i think im going to breed my corns..

good luck with the wife lol

UPDATE 7/18/11

few new pics, only 2... shes still grouchy, and she ate last night.. (2 med rats)
http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy336/DGilliland22/KerrellaNC1.jpg

http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy336/DGilliland22/KerrellaNC2.jpg

she is getting very long, i would say.... 3-3.5 foot... its hard to measure her, since shes got an attitude problem all of a sudden :( i think she may of just been hungery thought...

Kerrella looks gorgeous, Lil Boa! I'd estimate her to be at least four feet, but it can be hard to tell from a picture.

I would, however, cut way back on feeding. Snakes are prone to obesity in captivity, and this is especially true for rainbows. Obesity, in turn, reduces an animal's lifespan substantially. Rainbows typically "top out" at medium rats, and don't need a lot of them -- even the breeders who push it offer no more than a medium every other week (I now offer my adults a medium every *three* weeks; babies and juveniles of course eat more often).

I also almost never offer more than one prey item, the sole exception being if I am "out" of their usual size meal and have to use quantity as a substitute.

Again, she looks great...but I'd like her to reach a ripe old age!

Best regards,

DeesBalls

Best regards,

Thanks for the advice..:) its really appriciated!! however, i ONLY fed her 2 med. just because she was acting like she was very hungery still... (refer to other thread "very strange behavior"... so in hopes of snapping her out of a feeding response i thought to feed her again, and make it a bigger meal than what she is use to.. i usually only feed her 1 time every 3 weeks, but due to the circumstances i fed her again ... also the store said med. rats but they were small...

any way, thanks for the kind words!!

so i have been terribly slacking with my "profile" threads and updates, i have been very busy with school/work/and building cages lol. last thursday was feeding day ( oct 13th) and i fed kerrellla her "small" rat, but they i believe are med or large... she only gets 1-2 a month and her attitude problem she has had had gone away... i can pet her now and she shows absolutly no feistyness at all!!!

here she is in her temporary cage after dinner.

yea, she has.. it was either a bad day for her, or something, never has done anything like she did that day since i fed her... she must of just been very hungery, or just having a bad day lol.. now she is as nice as can be!
