If you have any amphibian photos to share, please launch your own thread for it:D:o

We drained our pond last year once the froglets had left as we are hoping to get the garden sorted and relocate the pond. The whole is still htere but dry and the daft froggies came back this year and laid spawn in the slightly damp hole in our garden! Have rescued as much of it as possible (daughters school has a pond) but really didnt think they would lay without at least a little water.

Yes, I did. we own an ATV park, and I feel the amphibians deserve at least one water hole that is safe from the customers.

Once my huge habitat project is completed, they will have more room than ever to flourish.

Every spring the whole family goes back there and transfers the egg masses from the danger zones to the sanctuary, so they can have a chance.

lol at Jenn he specifically asked for people not to high jack his thread with pictures ;)

that would be soo cool to have your own like "wetland" reserve in your back yard. Something that really sucks about living in the city :/

I swear Wayne, I'm going to pitch a Yurt somewhere out in your back 40 and live off the land. Beautiful place you have there. Miles from anyone, that would be awesome.

Jendee, if you own property, put a bond in your back yard. If not, there are patio ponds you can buy, it's fairly simple to attract local fauna!

Except that back in 1973 when my family purchased this place, the woman who owned it sliced off 2 acres of road front and then put a mobile home on it, then sold it to a family of outlaws, really ornery hypocritical, lying, stealing, child molesting, drug dealing idiots. (I swear I did not blow that out of proportion either, every one of their sons has served time in prison, daddy too)

Luckily, the child molester violated parole, he's back on hard time again.

The constant feuding does keep it interesting

I have so much fun tormenting them, I would fall asleep if I moved somewhere else.

I even had the mother arrested for disorderly conduct for shouting the "f-bomb" in our general direction.

They love my motocross track. (NOT)

Hijacking my own thread:)

A few summers ago, he tried to claim he owned my driveway leading out back, so I had a proper survey done, and guess what:eek: I own everything to the left of the green line. Oh and BTW he had to hire a contractor to build him a new driveway... oh the fun I had with that.

Those are great pictures, and to have taken them on your own property. Incredible.

There's the one I've never seen before, Jason :D Hi~

Anyways, wow, that'd be heaven for me too~ Look at all the tadpoles! :D and egg clusters! The first egg photo is really beautiful. It's really nice you did that for the local amphibious wild life frolicking around the area. Was that spotted salamander you recently rescued placed in the sanctuary?

Edit: Also, I'd personally get mad about the neighbors, but that's on account of me not exactly taking too well to morons. ;c I'm sure they've given you some really interesting, and funny, stories, though.

And I wouldn't be able to sleep a wink if I had kids and I knew the neighbors had a child molester on the lot :l Good thing he's currently where he belongs.
