Hey guys... So I got my first snake about a month ago and am already adding another 1! I am in the process of building a 2 viv cabinet for my corn snake and his soon to be new friend a ball python. I'm unsure of the morph that I will be getting for a ball but I'm hopeful to pay up and get a piebald! I have a classic corn named Ivan right now. I also have 2 ferrets and 2 dogs...I'm in the process of growing a zoo! I have many thoughts for getting many more snakes in the next few years! Look forward to chatting with you guys and Thanks for any help you may provide to me!!

Welcome!! Glad to hear you're already growing your collection, we DO love pics around here! However, you may wish to peruse a particular thread before you get too much in a rush to build the 2-viv cabinet :)

Thanks everyone for the welcome! Good thought to post Blindfireak40! I actually have already taken that into great thought. I will have another viv in a different part of the house for the first 4-6 months until I am sure it is safe to house them next to each other. I am fully aware and ready for any bumps in the road as far as I can tell! I have been trying my best to be a good mommy and read hours and hours of info prior to making any decisions that will affect the well being of my babies! Please keep the thoughts coming though I might have missed something! Oh and I will post pics as soon as I figure out how...lol

Good, glad to hear you've done your research before hand :)! So many people don't do quite enough of it (or nearly enough), and I always figure better safe than sorry :)

And as for the pictures, if you have a photobucket account, it's suuuuuuuper easy. Each picture you upload there will have an "IMG code" that you can copy and paste. Just copy and paste it into the post, and viola, there's the picture!

The corn snake you have does not look "normal" or "typical". I believe you have some sort of morph there as well ;)

Agreed. The orange spotting in between the back splotches isn't there in the 'normal' morph of corn snake. Looks like the red is darker than usual too. Definitely a non normal. Careful with really tiny snakes like that and sharp fingernails or rings. I've seen scales get scratched :).

The corn looks like a young normal to me. The colours change alot as they grow plus normals themselves can be very varied. :)

I am very careful with my nails and my ring. I tend to not hold him on my left hand much at all with fear of that very thing.
That Pic is from when I first got him, his Orange is much darker now with White boarders coming in around it. At first the Orange only went half down his body and now its reaching all the way down. Im not overly concerned with what he is seeing as I never want to breed him just enjoy him. I do love his colors though!

Welcome to the snake world~
Be careful they're very addicting pets to own.
I never thought I would be interested in them, but after purchusing my first (a bp) with an ex boyfriend, my collection now includes two more and a gecko. ;p
Good luck, keep the picture coming for us.
