my apartment is very drafty, as one whole side of our place is windows, top to bottom. we are moving out in a few months, but in the meantime id like to cut it to a minimun. is there an inexpensive thing i can use/do to fix it temporarily?
The snakes are pretty close to it, and there isn't really a way i can move them away.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Most hardware stores sell plastic covers for your windows that you tack over the window, and then use a hairdryer to shrink it down nice and tight to reduce the amount of air that can pass through. It's pretty cheap and works fairly well.

yep, you tack it on and use a hair dryer to make it firm... its the best way to cover any window and you can just pull it off in the spring time. Its really thin plastic.
I've used these plastic window coverings for years and they have greatly helped to reduce drafts and economize on winter heating bills. They're easy to put up and take down and an easy solution to such problems.
I used that stuff last year in my kids room. I worked very well and it is simple to use. It is on my list of todos for this week as well. I was surprised at how well it came off too, nice and clean. Just don't forget to clean the window frame with rubbing alcohol.

I use this stuff to stop the draft for my snakes too. It's pretty cheap and easy. Works great!
