I always wanted a snake and finally ended up w/ one by default: A guy my wife met at a local store had a 2 yr old hog island boa that he was unable to properly care for. I've had this snake now for about 10 weeks. I have been feeding her every two weeks. She was due to be fed over a week ago, but I forgot before going to visit family in Portland for Xmas. When i got back last Sat I tried to feed her; she refused. I got a fresh frozen snake on Mon; she still refused to eat. Today I went and got a live one; she still wont eat. She seems to be healthy, but to be honest if it isn't real obvious, I probably wouldn't have a clue. She did moult last Thurs, or Friday. Her eyes are clear. She is moving around a lot (more than has been usual). She is drinking. I am at a loss here. Any input would really be appreciated

Try feeding her in the dark and leave her alone for 45min or so.

What exactly are you trying to feed your snake??????

When you said it moulted last Thurs/Friday... did it actually shed the skin or did it just go through the "blue" stage?

Have the temps in your house changed much over the last few weeks? Temp drops in your house could cause make it hard your current heating set up to keep the cage warm enough.
