Got a new hoggie today and fed her before putting her in her new home. However only fed her a single small pinky and did not notice a bulge in her body like some of you on here have suggested that you should see after feeding. So because she is so small, and rather ropey/thin looking despite her being born in December/January, I am wondering if I should try and feed her another small pinky tomorrow.
So what are your opinions on feeding 2 times a week, but that 2 times being small meals and not large meals? I don't want to power feed, but I also want to help her grow. It also wouldn't be a permanent thing, just until she gets a bit more bulk on her in general.

hm, i'd probably say if you were going to feed more then one prey item, it'd be good to do it at the same time so it all digests at once. also imo if there was almost no lump, might as well get the next size prey and see what happens.

I would leave it atleast for the fortyeight hours but more likely until the next feed day and then step up a size or feed two together.

I am gonna get a good picture of her size tomorrow without causing to much stress so ya'll can see just how thin she is. I got some larger pinks but their size compared to her just seems excessive. I can get really small pinks from a pet store nearby that are f/t beforehand but I know if I keep feeding her those I am gonna need multiples.
So tomorrow I will update this with a picture of her next to a frozen larger pinky that I have and get ya'lls opinion on if she could or should eat it. Then next week I will go for feeding either multiple small pinks or one of the larger ones I have.

My lil sand boa is on rat pinkys and I was worried she wouldn't be able to handle them because she is so tiny but she does and it leaves a nice healthy lookin lump from what I understand one large is better than multiple small not quite sure why lol but its what I have herd looking forward to ur pix lol
