Hi all,

I finally got my python yesterday, I am very happy with him.
He seems quite tame so far.

Here are some pictures of him and his setup.

:D

Very nice looking JCP, love the enclosure, it looks like an Atasuki enclosure! I have one for my Bearded Dragon and Love it !

Hey guys,

Thank you :) I am pretty happy with him.

He is 8 months old, haven't had a chance to measure him or weigh him yet.

I have no idea what brand the enclosure is, It was on clearance at the pet shop so I got it for $70.

I figure it should be good until he gets a lot bigger anyways :)

Note: now that I look them up, you're right! ;) it is an Atasuki. I am happy with it except the lid locking doesn't seem as sound as it could be.. worries me a little bit lol

Do you think they make clips that would fit it?

I use mine for a bearded dragon so I don't have to worry about escapes, but mine is the 55" long one and it has two sections for the top and each section has 4 locks one in each corner, so 8 locks altogether.
mine opens from the front, sliding doors!
Have you ever thought about making your own top that would fit over the top portion, this would help with retaining heat and humidity. My husband is almost done with mine and I'll post pictures when it finished any day now!

Actually the thought did cross my mind..

But I am not really great at making terrarium lids hehe.

But if I did, it sure wouldn't have as much open vents on the top. I would close down the entire left side to keep humidity in a bit better, I am also using a over head light with red bulb as a heat source, which I am sure will cause more humidity loss.

Yeah, I guess JCP would tend to stay up on a branch as appose to spending their time in the hot hide on the floor.
You could always just cut a piece of plywood out that would fit the left side and just cut a hole for the heat lamp to set it.
