I recently noticed our snow corn snake has a slight bump on its side right by the cloaca. Its not hard or lumpy when I rub it, she is kinda a pig so I wonder if it could be a fat deposit starting? Pics later, we are off to the pet store to look at hognose!!
Does kind of sound like the start of some 'hips' forming. A picture would be helpful. How frequently is she being fed and what type of prey?
Years ago I was hesitant to up the mice size I was feeding my older pair and was feeding too frequently. My adult anery began to put on hips, at which point I did more research on feeding schedules for Corns and reduced the frequency of meals and switched to 1 adult prey item. Though they were both overweight my amel thankfully developed hips, but even now that they are slimmer my male retained his.
Is this the one who just laid eggs?
Hopefully its nothing serious!
I have to see pictures of these hips! LOL
