View Full Version : New Girl!
Our little albino 50% het pied showed up yesterday! She's tiny (~65g), but very active and inquisitive. I will get more pics after the isolation and first feed, but I thought I'd share what I have!
Her pattern starts to get kind of funny towards the tail end and just past the vent on the ventral side is completely yellow, so I'm hoping that is piebald influence (she'll have to be proved in a couple of years.)
(Pictures don't do her justice)

SWEET when you going to send her my way? :P ...on het pied by the tail they have a train track i hear people talking about.
Congratulations, What a gorgeous girl!
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
@ Jen: I'll send you one of her offspring in 2-4 years! ;) Regarding the het pied "tracks," that is generally not seen on albinos (to the best of my knowledge). Also, tracks do not always mean that the snake is het for piebald. There is a correlation between snakes with tracks and being het for piebald. However, snakes without said "markers" have produced piebalds, and snakes with the markers have not produced piebalds. It can go both ways and the only way to prove out that a het is a het is exactly that, by proving it out!
My lesser 100% het pieds do have interesting "markers," and these markers are consistent amongst lesser 100% het pieds (strange pattern on the tail past the vent). That's why I'm hoping her strange tail pattern is somehow linked to the influence of piebald, but I'll just have to wait and see!
