Fed my corn snake tonight. After eating, she went to the water bowl and drank quite a bit. Then she was rubbing her face up against the rocks and logs quite aggressively. To m surprise, she took a dip in the water dish and dunked her head under. Does this mean she's going to molt or should I be concerned? I've never seen her do this before.

May be getting ready to shed (molt).

Thanks, Wayne! Do you know how often they molt?

Depends on the age, and yes, I'd say that's behavior of a shedding snake.

I know babies will shed once every month, if not twice, due to growth. Adults will shed maybe once to twice a year to repair damaged scales. Not sure about ages between, but, naturally, the older they are, the less they'll shed until it's just an annual sort of thing(adulthood repair sheds).

Our adult sheds about 4-5 times a year.

When she was younger it was about once a month.

Ahhhh :> Never owned an adult snake, so wouldn't 100% know. Sure it depends on type and age, though. All I know is my beardie sheds once or twice a year. xD

my children's python does the exact same thing he rubs his head on the log and puts his head under the water
