i was getting may 3 foot ball python out of his cage to feed him a mouse, but his mouth was full of the coconut fiber bedding i use in the cage. was he trying to eat it? or trying to get nutrients? if anyone can help me out that would be great!

Most likely picked it up stuck to the food.

i dont think he tried to eat it, he might was yawning and got some in his month.

that was one of my first thoughts. but he's also not been coming out of the hide, he doesn't even come out at night. i know he's about to shed (because his belly is pinkish) but since almost a week ago he hasn't moved out of the cave.
My snakes pick up bedding all the time from there food. And seem to get it out just fine. And use aspen so Im pretty sure the coconut fiber would be even safer :) and don't worry about your snake not being active snakes are shy low energy creatures. Think about it when your looking for a snake in the wild where do you look?? under a rock, board or in a hole lol they only come out to eat or breed otherwise they are staying in a nice warm tight safe hide :)
That's why I don't use a loose bedding.
Too dangerous.
