Some things are missing, like a hidey cave I'm going to get. Obviously need a lid and heat source. I plan on getting all these within the next month before the expo comes around, so don't worry.~ Oh, and the cave will go between the two cacti decorations.

Anyways, here's a few pictures of the current layout. If anything should be changed, just tell me.~

I would suggest getting a shallow but larger water dish. My hoggie loves to get into her water and when I first got her I had a water bowl similar to yours and she could not. Also I think eventually you will need a bigger tank when your snake gets older/bigger. Other than that though it looks great! Your hoggie is gonna love that skull, I have a smaller one that is similar in my snake's tank. And I hope those cacti are weighted towards the bottom cause from what I have seen of my own snake yours might try to "climb" them.

Ahhh. Well I'd expect a 15g - 20g upgrade in the distant future eventually. Certainly wouldn't expect a full grown hoggie to stay in a tiny little 10g.

I got such a tiny dish because I'm kiiiinda expecting it to be a baby, but I've always got back ups incase it's just not the right kinda fit, can always use the tiny dish for something else.

The cacti are weighed down with rocks, and even if their not, I've got museum wax. Put a small layer on the bottom, push it against the glass and it's got a pretty solid hold, should the rocks not be enough weight.

I almost went with a 'cow' skull but the bottom opening wasn't open enough for me to get ahold of a hiding snake, should it be feeding time or something. Would of loved to get the Triceratops skull instead, but I've never seen our Petsmart with it in stock.

I have seen that triceratops skull several times but it is SO big. I got a 15 gallon tank even though mine is a baby. The skull in mine is like this canine looking skull where the teeth are gray/silver in color. More than once I have found her perched on top of it basking or just chilling. I also got this large stump like thing in the back another thing that she enjoys climbing. What are you thinking on heating source?

This is my skull

Actually... Now that you mention it, I think I have seen the dino skull before and it -was- huge... Ah well c: I think the canine skull sounds awesome.~ <3 You got a pic?

I plan on using a heat pad/lamp combo. At night, heat pad, during the day, lamp, and on one side, ofcourse.

Be careful if you do buy that reptile den by exo terra, the magnets are very strong and can squish a reptile. If you do get one just use the part that goes on the inside and not the outside part, instead you can make a flap out of paper that you can flip up and view.

Yeah, that was the only reason I was unsure about that little cave. Was afraid of how strong the magnets were and, if strong enough, was afraid that it'd harm my future hoggie. Thought using one half would work but knew it wouldn't provide a ton of privacy that way, but you gave me a good solution to that.~ Thanks c:

Edit: I think what I'll do is push it up against the glass between the two cacti, burrow it into the aspen a bit, and then take a black cloth and tape the top above the cave's showing side, on the other side of the tank wall, so I can pull the little cloth flap up and look whenever I feel like it without disturbing the hoggie too much.

Oh, and didn't notice your edit Nenna :D That skull is awesome <3

I would get a larger one, some look like they are pretty tight!

Sooo medium, large? I was going to get a small since I'm hoping to get a baby hoggie but... The guy I'm hoping to come through for me at the next expo -did- ask me if maybe being a bit started off would be fine or not, and I said it's no biggie... So I guess I maybe should get a larger one just in case it's a juvenile or adult hoggie.

What I have been told and read is that the more sides a snake can touch in its hide(s) the more secure it feels. So you don't want anything to big for your baby to begin with. Those coconut halves are what I use and they work very well.

Yes but if you look at this particular hid it is a winding tunnel and very snug.

Well, there's a coconut shell, a skull, and soon to be a cave, so it'll have 3 things to choose from. I'd imagine it'd rather want to stay in a dark, concealed cave/tunnel, though.
