hey whats your opinion on the two, and can someone clear this up for me, if u have a rough scaled, how big does it grow, all the websites say 2 ft or 3 ft, this is suppose to be the largest sand boa, and when you tell me how big it is can you tell me its age, sex, and if it still bites you alot/occasionally? thanks and are sand boas wider than coastals? andi herd the roughsacle's bite dosnt even hurt but on other sites it says they can bite pretty hard can anyone clear this info up?

I would go with the rosy boa. They are more active and burrow less. A sand boa will spend 90% of its time buried underneath its substrate and you wont' see it. I had a rough-scaled sand boa and it was MEAN. He would thrash and bite very hard whenever he had to be picked up. I ended up rehoming him because I couldn't see having something that never came out of the bedding and bit the heck out of me every time I tried to clean its cage or change its water, lol. I wouldn't even see him coming; I'd just be doing stuff in teh cage and "BAM" I'd get stealth bitten, lol.

LMAO!! Yeah that sounds like an angry Sand boa.........hahahahhaha

I say that both are kinda likely to bite. If you work with them from when they are small they will calm down.

I personally have no experience with these two, but I do have one statement. It's general rule that a female of any snake breed will get larger than a male.
