Thanks and same back to you as well! Though I will also not be celebrating. Slightly related...but not really. Last year my husband bought me a pair of rats (named Faye and Ed) for Valentines.

Maybe some other people can list cool gifts given from years past, or this year?

Thanks, same to you ReptileReptile! If his computer isn't working, then me and my man are just going to spend the evening with one another on the phone or texting away. (Internet relationships are so hard sometimes ;c but we're strong and nearly 2 years down the road~)

I call it a Hallmark Holiday, and prefer not to honor the designation. IMHO if you love your partner and wish to buy them flowers and or a card, and or candy, why wait for the 14th of February? Having said that, to those of you who do celebrate, Have a good one!

well we take v-day really seriously. like life stops when the 14th comes around. jk. but i am getting a red ij carpet im pretty stoked about. just another day/reason to get a new snake from the gf :) anyways happy v-day to everyone.

Happy Valentine's all! I will be celebrating on my own since my hubby will be in Vegas with our oldest son on their way back from visiting hubby's parents in Yuma, AZ. Oh well, after 23.8 years I guess this will work for once. (I did tuck a card in his luggage to be opened tomorrow, anyway:nerd:).

We usually just do the card thing, I might make a cheesecake! My husband is working late on the 14th so no special dinner, not that we ever really went out for valentines day.

Happy Pagan Fertility Ritual day!!

I think it is all WAAAAY to commercialised - my wifes birthday on the 11th Feb and i cant take her out for that cos everything costs four times as much. BAH HUMBUG to the lot of it i say!

I would rather just get a card that is just made from construction paper, I loved getting the ones from my daughter when she was younger. I think people can definitely go overboard with it and get upset if it's not what they were expecting. When you love someone they know it, you shouldn't have to put yourself in the hole to show your love.
Its a great day for the flower shops to make money.

yea i have actually never bought anything for valentines day, i view it as a day to hang out with your other half and just be there.
