Hello Everyone! I am a proud new owner of a juvenile Kenyan Sand Boa. I have had this adorable orange and black snake for a month and a half and I simply love it. I am looking forward to all that I can learn from each of you about my new pet! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your world!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'd love to post some pics, but they happen to be on my husband's computer so I will have to wait until he gets home. In the meantime I will continue to learn as much as I can by perusing this forum. Thank you all, in advance, for your insight and knowledge!

One would begin to think that KSB's are popular, wouldn't you?? They really are extremely cute (aside from the nose thing) and a delight for all ages!

Eryx is presently burrowing into aspen--even though the pet store recommended desert sand. I prefer the aspen as it is a whole lot easier to clean up and is less dusty and Eryx has no problem with it so I'm good to go. She is housed in a 20 gallon aquarium with a few light pieces of drift wood and a water dish big enough for her to curl up in if she needs to. I have no hides in the tank although I have put her into a humidity hide with a dampened paper towel on my lap for 20 minutes to help her shed. Do I need anything else?
