Baytril??

hey guys. does anyone know if there are any side effects from using baytril with boas? Both my babies are on a 2 week treatment almost over, probably gonna extend it for another two. this is what ive noticed, is it normal? one of my snakes, (the Hogg island) has what seems like burn marks.. almost look like ciggaret burns :( now i just soaked him and the marks look ALOT better. He is also still wheezing quite a bit. Now also both of them seem to have wierd poop :s id have to get pics but i have to wait for the next poop lol. Its all fine exept that theres like a dark yellow orangy film and if it dries out it kinda has a sandy crystaly texture. Is this normal?? And i still didnt find a GOOD vet near my area :( anyone know some private ones... near montreal?

Baytril overdose can kill your snakes and yes you can have burns from it if you're injecting it. I've seen pics of a retic on it that had a very nasty burn from it. Took about a year to heal.

What's the problem? Also find a good herp vet.

is it injectable baytril and these blisters are appearing at injections sites ?

i only use oral baytril

i adminster it with a syringe and an infant feeding tube orally

i'm assuming like in humans some snakes can be allergic to certain antibiotics

baytril will look like burns if your not doing it right, go back to your vet and get him to show you how to do it right again. and there are other meds out there that works better than baytril talk to your vet about other meds.

man... its just problem after problem :( i cant wait for it all to be over and for my snakes to be healthy!! thx guys!!
