Hey, I'm just wondering, my BP's eyes have clouded, his skin is starting to dull over and look "bubbly" LOL, and he has become lethargic, so, I'm assuming he's about to go into shed. He's been this way for about 3 or 4 days. I was wondering, should I feed him or wait until he's done his shed? He ate only a week ago. I'm pretty sure that he would take food but not sure if it is wise. He's a baby, about 2 ' long. This will be the first shed at my house.
Thanks.

Since this is the first time for him shedding at your house, I'd hold off on feeding him, as it may result in unnecessary stress. Depending on when you got him, you should give him about 7 days of isolation, which will allow him to settle in and de-stress. Isolation means no handling; only checking temps and humidity, cleaning, and providing fresh water. If he ate last week, he should be fine!
Good luck keep, keep us posted, and post pics after the shed!
I wouldn't try to feed him until about a week after he finishes his shed. Ball pythons can famously go for months and months without food, the record is almost two years (22 months). Balls tend to be finicky eaters at the best of times, I wouldn't waste the rat, or stress the snake.

My BP will eat during shed but he is kinda weird anyways!! I only feed him fortnightly tho as he is a sedentary type snake rather than an active one like a carpet for example. He is also about 2foot long.

if he eats... he eats... hada ball go off feed for 11months once.
they are pretty indestructable, just keep your humidity up for his shed or give him a soak or 2

Update. We had a successful shed. He looks like a pastel once again! He's back to his old energetic self! Can snakes smile? I think mine did...LOL...
