Believe it or not he's never bitten me even once! Not yet anyway, so I'm hoping he never does. He did nip at my son when I was deciding whether to buy him or not, but that was right after they had sexed him.

I wouldn't let her get in the habit of that. My jungle went from "aw it's a bracelet" to "HONEY! Get a bucket of water, she's doing it again, and my hand is turning purple!" in about 6 months.

As for putting snakes around your neck...

Putting any constrictor snake around your neck is the dumbest thing you can do with a non venomous snake.

Sure, 99% of the time, he might just hang out on your shoulders, but it only takes once. Snake loses its balance, grabs hold to keep from falling, and in 15 seconds you're down for the count. The snake doesn't have to try to hurt you, it doesn't even need to get all the way around your neck, it just has to squeeze hard enough to close off your carotid or jugular. If that happens it's dark tunnel time, and you aren't coming back without help.

OK, I'll be sure to stick to the bracelet or maybe a belt when he's bigger. Right now he's not even big enough for a necklace.

What do you think of the letter "Y" on his side? Anyone else have letters on their snake? He has some other interesting patterns, but that's the most distinct letter.
