it's cool, the other night i saw my dum being super active and he went over near the entrance so i opened it and he sniffed at me for a second then came out and crawled on me. it was the first time i didn't have to physically reach in his cage and take him out to handle. he did the same tonight, seems he's getting adjusted to me nicely. it tends to only be at 3 or 4 am, cuz that's when he's most active.

All three of my carpets do it and some time my yellow anaconda will.

Good! He's starting to build up that trust with you...keep up the good work. It seems that he has classified you as "thing," as opposed to "prey" or "predator."

One of my snakes will only come out of his hide if my hand is in front of it!

That's great- sounds as though he is adjusting nicely. I have a carpet that will come out to me, and it's just a great feeling!

lol reptile reptile i believe you are 100% right. nigma now uses me as an extension out of the cage. this is the third night in a row he's done it. i think he knows if he chills by the entrance i'll come and open it eventually.

WOW lol. nigma is the most active i've EVER seen him tonight. i held him for a while and tried to put him back but he kept wanting out over and over. he was on the bed and i was watching tv on the comp and i forgot about him for like 20 minutes, he went off the bed, across the room, down into the hiding spot under the cubbies in my room, out of the hiding spot, under some things, over my trash can and tried to crawl up to my leg, when i saw him i was like WOW O.O!!!! ( i knew he went down into the hide spot cuz he had dusty fuzz on his face that i had to take off O.o ) i'm very surprised he came to me instead of just hiding :) i tried to put him back again after that and he still refused so i suppose i'll just leave him out for a while lol.... xD

I can't wait until my new baby is comfy to go exploring around. Right now all she wants to do is find a nice dark hiding spot and just curl up and be all pissy when I try and get her out. Little miss attitude. Because of it I don't take her out but maybe 2 times a week. Don't wanna stress her out and all that.

Yay for you and your "nigma"
