It was my fault, I was feeding him roaches, and the roach was on my finger at the time, little booger was fast had my finger so quick I never saw it coming.
Any pics of the carnage?! Who is Leo by the way? (Your collection is too large for me to keep track of!)

The bite was only a split second, but I do have a nice feeding shot...

Oh well at least he is getting some high protein from said finger right? Sure it was a clean removal and in time you will learn to live with 4 digits.

Wish i had the camera this morning - fed our Spiny Tail some adult locusts and at one point he had his mouth closed but three legs stuck out each side of his mouth - was soo funny but by time i got the camera they had gone :(

Lizards often crush food by biting down on it.
I think they have stronger "clamp down" muscles.
I have never been bit by chomper, but I have seen him crush rat skulls in one crunch by biting down.

Our spiny bites quite a lot but his teeth are tiny tiny tiny and have never broken the skin - very strong jaws tho you can almost pick him up when he bites onto a finger. Frilled lizards have bigger teeth but ours seem less inclined to bite - jsut frill and hiss!!

When I flinched and pulled my hand back, Leo went for a ride! I felt aweful, had to make sure I didn't hurt my gecko!!
Us herp people must be nutters, no one would ever let "other" pets chew on them for fear of hurting our pets.
Been there. I stopped hand feeding my beardie after he realized my fingers were made of meat.

I got nailed by my Sav as well..it looked like my finger had been run over by a cheese grater. OUCH!

Was Leo okay after his free thrill ride? Agreed, we are bonkers....in a good way! (IMHO)

Double OUCH! I couldn't imagine getting tagged by a Sav...some have gone as far to say that I enjoy pain, but I cringe thinking about one of those majestic beasts nailing a finger!
All the more reason to respect our beloved animals!

My little gecko faired out just fine, he went right back to chowing on his roaches within moments.

he is a leopard gecko right?
Yes that is correct. One day my doorbell rings and I find a guy on my porch holding an aquarium with a screen cover, Heat pad, hide, water bowl, lamp and socket with a Leopard Gecko inside, he just handed it over and said his mom wanted it out of the house or she was going to kill it.
So I suddenly found myself a gecko owner.
I already breed roaches, so it's no problem. He's a cutie too.
