If I had to make a suggestion...I would say this...go for more natural lighting. Have more light and don't use the flash on the camera. Just an idea :)

that pic of the frog was done in the pitch black room the pic or pics of the beardies are done without any flash but still under crappy light of my comp desk light. Are they'er any type of lighting effects or equipment that can be used to get a nateral lite subject

my other frogs are all blue phase but i like the bright green best
