View Full Version : Tree Boa concern ? (w/pic)
hey i bought an atb a few weeks ago and from what i have heard they are aggressive little guys....mine is just 5 feet and no aggression what so ever Should i bee concerned ? ( i tend to be a little obsessive of my snakes health)
never struck hissed or even backed away from me she ate last night took np very pretty girl i was wondering if anywone could tell me if there are diferent types of atb or do they all look like this and if now what kind is she?

She beautiful! Sound like you lucked out and got a friendly ATB, be very glad. As far as what kind unless the person you got her from knows it pretty much just take a shot in the dark they come in so many colors and pattern.
CONGRATS on a sweet snake and can't wait to see more pics.:)

She is a gorgeous specimen! ATBs are very variable in color- they can be anything from mottled green to red, yellow, brown or black. Your girl is a very nice red and greenish-black. I would not be concerned at all about the aggression- I'd consider myself lucky. Any species of snake can have individual variation- I personally own 3 Biak GTPs and 2 emerald tree boas that are all puppy dogs. No aggression in any of them, especially the males. I have also known ATBs that are pretty tame, and ones that are out for blood lust on the other hand. So you just got yourself a calm and curious individual. Enjoy her!
