hey everyone i was hoping you would post pics of your rainbow boas i would love to see how they are coming along :) (especially you marvelfreak) I'll have to get some new one once he sheds. Should be any day now. We got a new guy on here Snakesitter who i believe breeds them or plan on breeding. He got like 21 BRB. He just wait to get he computer fix and he going to post some pics.

Here is my 3-year-old Peruvian rainbow boa, Picasso. He's a great snake with really good colors. I honestly prefer the Peruvians over Brazilians- the contrast stays greater as they grow, and they are a bit hardier overall.

^^ Kim, great looking PRB!

Sorry for the digression, but is there any way to visually discriminate between a BRB and a PRB? My "BRB" has high white "side-walls" which seems to be consistent amongst PRBs. I don't know the lineage of my "BRB," as I rescued her from a Petco (I'm not even going to get started on their poor husbandry!). She also has high contrast between her dorsal spots and her background color. Seeing your pics really make me wonder if she's actually a PRB...

count the scales Peruvians have 41-45 at mid body and are larger than Brazilian with 47-51 at mid body color patterns in both vary so much its near impossible to tell but brb seam to have smaller well defined rings while the prb have bolder rings that brake more and look like the edges blure and kinda bleed out
