View Full Version : New Mojave BP!
I was trying to refrain from posting until I actually received our new 2010 Female Mojave BP (Sire: Lemonblast 50% het ghost; Dam: Mojave), but I just couldn't help myself and had to share!
I won't be getting her until shortly after the holidays, as I am waiting for her setup, but I've already put a holding payment down, so technically she's half mine!
Photo is courtesy of Simon Elliot @ Raining Reptiles- Home (http://www.rainingreptiles.com)
Simon is a delightful breeder to work with and I look forward to meeting him in person. I am certain to be a repeat customer of his.
Of course, more pics will follow her arrival in a couple weeks! Enjoy and thanks for looking!

Beautiful looking snake tho i admit with BP's i much prefer "normal" ones to the morphs. I can certainly appreciate the beauty tho!!!

Very nice, i order 2 mojaves but have to what until the spring to get them :( hate living up north.
She looks beautiful! I love Mojaves. Look forward to more pics when you get her.
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get her!
Jenn_06: Where up north do you live? I'm up in Seattle, so only a couple hours from Canada...Congrats and we can't wait to see pics either!
Rob: I really love normals as well, but I just couldn't resist when I saw this beautiful little morph...I commend you for not succumbing to the so-called designer-morph dark side. It was only a matter of time for me, and my time was obviously up! Oh, and thank you for not being the one to bash on morphs....I just think they are gorgeous! I could never own a spider BP or a jaguar Carpet, despite their unrivaled beauty; I would be heartbroken if one of my snakes showed signs of neurological disorders. However, they are GORGEOUS and I love seeing everyone's pics!!!
(I had no intention of purchasing another snake until the 2011 reptile expo in April....whoops!)

Good to hear!!! I'll get more as soon as possible...I think I'm picking her up on the 28th of this month!

Oh, that makes sense! I'm about 2.5 hours from Canada, but I have this expansive body of water to the west that keeps this area warmer. Do it, I'd love to see pics of your new additions!
I might be posting additional pics in the next couple weeks of a "to be announced" snake, who will likely be my powerhouse breeder for my BP project that is planned to start in about 2 years.
I'm still negotiating with the breeder, but I think he has the potential to create some real lookers! I'll keep everyone posted....back to price negotiations!
Finally picked up this little gal last night! I couldn't resist and snapped a pic...enjoy

I think the best part is that she's possible het ghost.
Keep in contact with the breeder to find out if he or she proves out her dad or not. Then you can be a little more excited if she's a 50% possible or a 25% possible.

Very true, albeit my plans for her include a male that I am hoping to get in the next 3-5 weeks. However I will be in fairly frequent contact with the breeder and was quite excited about the possibility of having either a 50% or 25% possible ghost. (I know you're a "ghost guru," so I may have some further questions for you if her dad does prove out...)
Aaron, you can likely answer my questions: Her head is brown with a lot of blushing, while her dorsal color is a deep black (very drastic, but photos don't do it justice). Also, she has a yellowish-brownish belly and I wasn't aware that Mojaves had either of these characteristics. Maybe some YB influence?
This might be lack of research or investigation into head/belly coloration, but do you have any idea if this is common? Or do you think she might have some other morph trying to peek through the mojave disguise?
Thanks in advance! And thanks for the comments everyone!

I don't own a single gene mojave and when I did it was briefly. I would say yes it's just a "normal" mojave unless the breeder had some yellow belly mixed in somewhere. I don't own anything yellow belly and never have so I am not one to ask what the characteristics of it are in other morphs.
She did come from a grab bag of morphs with her father being a pastel as well as a pinstripe but I think she's just a really pretty mojave, possible het OG.
^^ Thanks Aaron. I will post updates if I find out her father proves out as an OG.
To my surprise, the little girl was in the blue this morning, meaning that she was duller than normal in the last picture I posted....I can't wait to see her new color!
I had to move some things in her viv, which involved moving her, so I snapped a couple of quick pics (I've been good--2 solid days of isolation, but had to rearrange since she's in shed).
My hands can serve as a pseudo-scale...she's still a little baby! I also snapped a pic of her belly, but this discoloration may be due to her being in the shed cycle; my normal male always has a pink belly during shed.

are planning on pairing that with the beautifull lesser you posted? blue eye luecy in your future? :) Very nice, be sure to post some after that shed is done :)
Maynard is great R-R!
Freebody, the lesser I posted was also a female...Their to-be-posted future boyfriend is also a Lesser, so I do hope to see a Lesser-Mojave or Super Lesser BEL in my future! ;) I have a couple other "aces" up my sleeve, but I don't want to embellish yet...

Awesome Mojave!! Love the colors
Thanks Aaron! It's our dream to someday produce a BEL or a Lesser Pied, so my fingers will be crossed when the time comes...I'd love to see some twisted tail action and of course, good luck!
Thanks Hillsberry; she's in shed, so more to come when she's in her new skin!
