today for the third time my boa has vomited i dont know why but it seems to keep happening i know its not because its not hot enuogh because i keep it between 90degrees on the hot side and around 86 84 every where else in the tank i know its not the size of the feeders because there not very big they are small rats and he is nearly 3 ft the water is always fresh and i keep it generally moist by spraying and covering the lid with a hot towel but still he vomits he doesnt have mites or any external parasites that i can see im only worried that it could be internal or something that iv overlooked im going to stop feeding him for a few weeks and try again but if anybody can help i would greatly appreciate if thanx

when in doubt, I always recommend a vet....

What kind of boa and how often do you feed? Try lowering your temp a couple degrees. An wait at least 3 weeks before trying to feed again to let it stomach settle. I had the same problem with my BRB this last summer. I lower my temps a bit, wait 3 weeks, and just feed one small meal the first time and it did the trick. I think i was over feeding.

all I know about this is to not keep trying to feed right after u have to give time for the snakes digestive enzymes to recover correct me if I'm wrong but 3-4 weeks should suffice

if your husbandry is correct (and it sounds good to me) i would make a vet appointment.

Regurgitation is usually either an infection (bacterialogical or parasitic) or a result of insufficient heat for digestion. Your husbandry sounds good, ruling out the latter. You should make an appointment with a reptile vet.

if he ever regurges again pop it in a sealed bag then into the fridge

it must be kept moist

the vet can run test on the regurge itself

do not freeze it as it will no longer be any use for tests as freezing kills off what your testing for

I would get it to a vet. One of the first signs of a very contagious and nasty boa virus is repeated regurgitation. Poor temps could also cause it, but it seems your temps are ideal for RTBs. Anytime a snake regurges, you want to skip a feeding or two afterwards. Regurgitated is painful and uncomfortable for them, and their digestive system needs to recover afterwards. Feeding again immediately afterwards is almost a guarantee it will regurgitate again. But I'd still get it checked by a vet.

I would also quarantine this snake immediately until it's been examined by a vet, and keep an eye out for any odd behavior.
