I have only one concern, She has now gone nearly two months without showing any signs of shedding, I am wondering if i should be concerned
I keep the humidity in a comfortable zone and she has a water dish with ample room to bathe in

Nice looking Carpet! I've noticed that my carpets do not shed as frequently as my other snakes. I'm not saying this is normal. Experts will be along shortly to help out, I'm sure. Carpets, I am told do not have specific humidity requirements, but all of my snakes are provided a humid hide where they can go if they feel the need to moisten up.

lol thanks, i named her sweetheart because she is a total bitch, my pet store actually got a beautiful pair of Irian jaya Jags, I'm buying the male as soon as I up sweets cage in January
My female JCP is a bitch too. Hopefully they grow out of it. Your pics remind me of the early pics I took of Berber (my jcp). In every one she's either poised to strike the camera, striking the camera, or making a spirited attempt to eat the camera.

My male JCP is also a bitch and strikes whenever the viv is opened. He also sheds less often than my other snakes so maybe it is a JCP thing?
My JCP only sheds about once every two months, and she's gone from about 30 inches and 3 ounces to over 6 feet and almost a kilo in 7 months.

She is actually very camera shy when i bust it out she retreats to her hide, i busted these ones on her right after her bath, i caught her in her water dish, so i grabbed my camera and before she got to the hid snapped a few good ones
My JCP has only shed once since I received her on October 20th. The breeder mentioned that she had shed about 2 weeks before he sent her, so maybe she is growing faster than yours?
She's also a bitch, which I've learned is a juvenile JCP thing and have found that patience is rewarding! I have seen marked improvements in behavior, so I'm sure she will be great in a couple more months. (Only 2 nips in the last 2 weeks).
And Nafun, that growth rate is incredible!

JCPs often grow out of it, but some don't. My female pure JCP is a sweetie. She's never hissed or tried to strike. I got her at 2 years old. My male jungle/jag sibling can be touchy, and I have a yearling jungle-jag that got me once when she got startled. Baby carpets are born full of piss and vinegar, and you can't blame them...in the wild their bright patterns and tiny size make them prime prey items, so they have to stand up for themselves. As they grow, they get more secure though, and most calm down steadily with time and consistent handling.

Shedding once every couple months is normal for carpets.

Much improvement, she is getting ready to shed, probably within the next few days, have been taking her out with a small snake hook, which has turned the bite rate down to once or twice a week tops, shes starting to be more exploratory and less i'm gonna bight you if you so much as look at me

ive found no real set in stone pattern to my carpets shedding
ive seen them shed twice in 2 month
or have no shed for 3 month
i keep it all wrote down as a reference so i acn compair the individual snake to the year before
i only work with carpets so have no experience in how often other species shed
i dont think you theres anything to be worrying though mate
cheers shaun
