One of the worst possible thing I could think of happening has happened one of our baby corns has escaped.
I feel like crap I don't know how he could have gotten out. I do head counts every time the enclosure is messed with but he is red and so is our bedding. I hope he is hiding somewere in my house and did not get out side it is very cold and snowy we will see what happens I have already tore my living room apart looking he may have gone into the heater vent. Last night was a sad day in my house. :sorry:

I think most people have had an escape at some point, with it being cold outside it is more likely to have found a warm spot inside. When my baby got out he wa under the smallest ever gap under the tropical fish tank. Good luck with finding yours.

First things first, to catch a snake, you need to think like a snake.

Your snake wants three things, in this order.

1> Somewhere to hide.
2> Somewhere warm.
3> Something to eat.

The first thing to do is to start at the escape point. Check the entire room. Check everywhere. If a place seems too small for a snake to possibly get in there, check it, the snake can get in there. Pay special attention to sources of heat. Heating vents, dryers, refrigerators, televisions, computers, etc.

Once you've cleared the room, work in a spiral outward from the room she escaped from.

If you absolutely can't find her by checking hiding places and warm places then set a snake trap. Cut the top off of a soda bottle and invert it into the rest of the bottle. Tape it into position with duct tape. Put the snake's preferred food inside, leave it in dark enclosed spaces and replace the food daily.

Thank you for the trap idea I am going to have to give that a try yesterday was feeding day so maybe he is hungry enough to go for it sooner then later if he will at all here's hoping.

Sorry to here he has not been found. I am worried and will try just about anything he is very small and I have a four year old so my house always has a cluttered feel to it with toys and then school stuff. I hope my cat does not find him before I do but he is a pansy so he may just run and hide.

i found mine after 3 or 4 months. mine seem to like to escape and hide durring the winter to brumate and may reappear in the spring if you don't find him before then. mine seem to like closets, i found my kingsnake in there even after he passed a computer the couch the entertainment center and all sorts of other hiding places.

My big milk was on the lamb for some time and turned up in the basement hiding under a cushion on a chair.

Hey you shouldn't worry to much my ball got out of a bowl when I was soaking her and she got out and off the counter. We did the same thing and tore the house apart and nothing. Well two days later it started raining and I was about to go to sleep and I looked over and there was her head popping out of a little nook underneath the cabinet. Remember they don't like to be cold and there nocternile. Try checking right around the escape area at night. Mine was maybe five feet from here tank. I'm sure it will pop it's head out soon.

You can also try and take flour and make a solid 3-4 inch line in a hallway (not on carpet) and see if the little guy moves over night. You can do this in a couple places in the house. The more activity in one patch of flour usually indicates that they like that area.

when i had my BRB years ago it had a great escape and was gone for alittle under a week i believe. i came into my room and sat in my computer chair and i dropped something on the floor and bent over to pick it up, and to my GREAT surprise there was my little brb, wrapped around the base of the chair lol. that's the only escape i've ever had.
