Franchise....Saw
Movie Villian....oh man...uhm....have to side with hubby, Barbossa.
Creature is a solid tie of the Aliens and the Predators.

Favourite classic B-grade horror would be George A Romero's zombie movies.
Best serial killer series would definetely be Friday the 13th as well.
Will also side with you on predator, but the first 2 were the only good movies.

I also love these horrors:
- The hills have eye original series
- Evil Dead
- Nightmare of Elm streets
- Halloween ( also love both of Rob Zombie's remakes )
- Poltergeist
- Amityville Horrors
- Reurn of the living dead ( all movies as they are good comedy/zombie flicks )
- Tales from the crypt ( both their movies and the tv series )
- Candyman series
- The first Wrong turn
- Children of the corn
And many many more. Im a huge horror movie fan!!!

My mind blanked out that crappy movie.....

sephinflames
11-13-10, 06:26 PM
Hahahaha, It was soooooo bad I liked it.
But hey if Natasha Henstridge can be a 'good' point to Species...then Jason Statham can be a good point to Ghosts of Mars.

11-13-10, 06:27 PM
Any naked girl named Natasha can't be all bad.

I'm a huge fan of the new paranormal activity movies. Just about laughed at every horror I've seen until I saw P.A. So realistic and creepy, I love it. :D

Saw was cool. Then Saw 2 and others came out.

I'm with you Press, Barbosa is my favorite. Love those movies, too.

The creatures from the tremors movies are my favorites. Gotta love those graboids. xD

Saw was one of the best Suspense movies I had seen at the time, then 2 came along and was not as good, but still not bad. Now it just won't die.WHY WON'T IT DIE?!?!?! (Sorry Rob and Sephinflames)

my Fav all time horor movie, excersist part 1, watch that when i was like 5 with my dad and he would grab my leg and scar the hell out of me lol i remember running to my bed and sleeping in the middle so scared lol hooked on horror movies ever since. Um fav series i think would be freddy, and friday the 13t as equal. i like them both a lot so its to close to call, if i had to choose 1 or the other im slightly towards freddy but not by much. Preditor is a class of its own right up their with alliens, thats part 2! the others were good but not that good. species....drool..:P so many more, oh ammityville horror thats amazing and the remake was even better i think. hmm texas chain saw massicre... ill stop their. their was a new zombie show that came out like last year i thought was one of the best i had ever seen, its the only one where the zombies ran at you full speed, ill have to stop trying to remember the name then it will come to me and ill post it lol

Movie with out a doubt Evil dead 2

Villain Freddy (Nightmare on Elm ST).Third one by far was the best. I use to be able to do his voice perfect.

Creature Chucky doll from Childs Play or Pinhead From Hellraiser

11-13-10, 07:39 PM
oh i forgot the hell raiser series, that might be my favorite series actually.

percey39
11-13-10, 07:42 PM
The texas chainsaw massacres are sweet, gotta love leather face. The first saw was great the rest were puss IMO. I reckon the old zombie movies are better remember when you die you get rigamortis and cant run. 28 days later is good as well. Also love The Shining, the stephen king version is better and 6 hours is reasonasbly short compared to the langoliers ( thats epic lol 8.5 hours lol ). Sometimes they come back is a classic.
I could go on for ever with horrors as i currently own nearly 450 horror/b grade dvd's lol im a freak i know haha

Chuck "I SWALLOW YOUR SOUL, I SWALLOW YOUR SOUL" I absolutely love the second evil dead and can do her voice perfectly lol

presspirate
11-13-10, 07:46 PM
Hellraiser first one was great! Second one was Meh. After that......

Pinhead FTW Second greatest villain. Third would be Darth Vader

Anybody see the Cube series?

percey39
11-13-10, 07:47 PM
The cube was a sweet sci fi type movie.

presspirate
11-13-10, 07:49 PM
There again, first two were pretty good, after that...(were there 3 0f them or 4?)

Same goes with Resident Evil and Underworld.

It's time I think for a remake of The Thing.

percey39
11-13-10, 07:53 PM
Yeah i only seen the first 2 cubes was told the 3rd was BAD. Resident Evil lost touch with the games too much and became too unrealistic with the powers.
The thing would be a sick remake. What about the toxic avenger now that could be done better but i still love that series also.

but Post-mortem corporal rigidity, stiff stiffness Pathology Board-like contraction of skeletal muscles that first appears in jaw and other short muscles–eg, of hand, 2-4 hrs after death; RM later appears on the trunk and extremities, peaks at 24-48 hrs; it disappears in the same order as it developed. so full speed running for the win ! lol :P

I must be the minority here...

Stephen king movies, I love The Stand, Langoliers, Storm Of the century, Green Mile, Lawnmower Man, stuff like that.

Any movie with mindless gore is of no interest, boring at best.

I can't sit through a Saw flick for any price.

percey39
11-13-10, 08:04 PM
But you cant raise the dead and have them run lol. I love all the origal dawn of the dead, day and nights all classics and very well done for their time. "Their coming to get you Barbra" lol great line and black white movie. I love zombies the most and talk for hours on end about movies with them and own nearly all that have been made.

Stephen King is the king of horror novels and made some very good movies. You speak blasphemies Wayne!!!

11-13-10, 08:10 PM
i like them all, I just cant stand when its a horror movie that is supposed to be like a intense movie no comedy involved and then they do stuff that stupid and im watching going, hmm their is a guy trying to kill you and your throwing away for only weapon for no reason at all, or everyone is dieing and the main dude is like , hmm maybe ill go down the dark hallway where i heard screaming and go check it out empty handed.... that stuff makes me sick. like the last jason show where hes chasing her across the field, she gets to the road running full speed and then the car pull up and she decides shes going to sit down and explain whats happend and now she cant even get up or walk when she was just kicking some but and running just fine... arg that stuff gets to me, if its a total funny type horror movie it does not bother me but when they are trying to make it a serious show and that stuff is in it... i cant hardly make it through the movies now. Like you wayne i really like those non gorry movies that have great indepth story lines these days but if its like that with blood and guts its that much better :P, but as far as movies i liked as a kid it was mostly blood and guts shows. - the excorsist part 1 like i said. that show rules, still my fav #1 horror of all time.

I know that, But I still prefer his fantasy Sci Fi type stories.

Thinner!! forgot that one.

Dead Zone, can't leave out that, I have the movie and the Box sets of the series.

I can watch the stand over and over, recite every line and it's still a damn good movie.

Give me senseless violence and fake gore anytime. Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, Undead child Molesters, Creepy inbred hillbillies, victims of nuclear fallout or toxic waste, Voodoo priest, Demons, Ghosts, what have you. I'll take them over the touchy feely "Feel Good Movie of the Year" anytime.

(Side Note: At one time I had everything Stephen King had written up to From a Buick 8. I ended up selling them. Working on building that collection back up again. Stephen King is an Excellent Story Teller. But IMO there has yet to be a true visionary director who has been able to translate his books to film. The only exception, (Again, IMO) was the original version of the Shining. )

Also, there is nothing wrong with a good Sci Fi Flick!

Not a huge fan of horror flicks....they keep me from sleeping and I'm already a 12+ year insomniac!

Especially movies like saw....I can't stand watching human-human brutality in that sense.

However, sci-fi films like the Alien and Predator series (all of them, regardless of the cheese-factor.....sentimental value I guess?!), I adore.

The Nightmare on Elm Street series also, but that was when I was young, I loved that stuff! (Maybe that's why I don't enjoy those types of moves anymore?)

The newest Predator was a nice flick. Personally I like that one and the original Predator with Arnold.

The Alien vs Predator ones were good times too....so many creature features, so little time.....

Watched a couple of goodies last night but only one fitted the horror vibe. Dread was good, so was The Fourth Kind ( oh mila will you marry me!!! ), Triangle. 13 ghosts was a good movie, but was not the biggest fan of drag me to hell. I did love the old lady sucking her face though.
