just adopted an emperor scorpion, looks great fully grown a bit above 3 in. as the guy handed him to me, whap! first sting... but its all good just a small bit of swelling :) pics coming soon

I've never been stung by an emperor, but when I get more than just one I'm pretty sure I'll get it sooner or later. I have one right now and she wouldn't sting me if I poked and prodded her. She will let me pet her back and belly without even raising her tail. :D

1 in a million getting stung by and emperor. lol . just like a bee sting from what i read. my old scorpion was the same way, nothing would get it to sting, not even its food would get stung, my 2 babies i havr now sting their food, but they are still gentle when i hold them.

First of all, congrats on the new addition...but ouch! I had an emperor scorpion for years and never got stung. I now have a pair of yellow-banded flat rocks, and I don't handle them because they like to pinch. I've heard the sting isn't any worse than an emperor's though, so if I ever do get it it likely won't be too bad.

i think this guy i got him from may have just been a rough person with him or something..ive held them before and never had a problem but idk maybe just wasnt used to me!
