That was indeed pretty intense! The corn may have escaped, but I don't think he left the encounter unscathed.

aaaaaahhh! I wanted to save the snake so much! Usually I love praying mantids; they are so cool! But I definitely don't like seeing one trying to eat a snake!

Praying mantis can take some serious chunks out of almost anything.

So yeah, I would wager that the corn snake has some wounds to heal after that.

the circle of life. it is weird to see a snake attacked by a bug though.
