read page 2 4th post from the bottom if you are not familiar with this subject

my friend has upon my urgent and rather forceful recomendation gotten newspaper for substrate a 150 wat bulb (still in use for both turtles and snake but directed in a way that it keeps the snake at a solid 85f) and a UTH he has also provided a hide and a deep water bowl (an actual bowl that would be used for cereal but w/e it works) he has also bathed his snake about 3 times since the last post on this subject and he is looking much better and happier... no longer limp or weak and grips tightly really really head shy but i think this will turn out good.

sounds like he was lethargic due to cold temps

you did good mate

he most likely would be dead by now if you had not intervened

cheers shaun
