I just received our 2010 female JCP from the Leary line! She was very cranky when I unpacked her (anyone would be after a 2500 mile flight!), but she is absolutely stunning! She struck at anything that moved, including herself (somewhat cute), but JCPs seem to calm down after a few weeks to months of consistent, gentle handling, so I'm sure she'll turnout to be a sweetheart!

I am going to let her acclimate to her new surroundings for about 5-7 days, so the pictures I am posting now are all you get! More to come after she has settled in.

Now I understand.. Attachments require a few "probationary" posts before you can include them.

The best option is to either use the ssnakess.com gallery or a service like photobucket.

Beautiful little girl you have there! Our male has finally started to calm after a couple months of handling. I think after the next shed his color will really start to pop as well.

Do you plan on breeding her?

Thanks! Could you show some pics of your male who has just settled down (presspirate)?

Currently, we are just keepers (1.0 Ball, 1.0 Cali King, 0.1 Orange-BRB, 0.1 Anery Bloodred Corn, 0.1 Leary-JCP), but I do indeed plan on breeding the JCP a few years down the road. If she is anywhere near as beautiful as her parents and grandparents, she will certainly be a trophy (all my snakes are trophies in my mind, but she will be a true trophy)!

Sure thing, most of the pics we have are here...http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/morelia-spilota/84054-hubby-got-me-reptile-show.html (The gloved hands belong to my wife.) I'll post some new pics after his next shed.

Thank you! While her head pattern is very interesting and does resemble a smiley face, from afar, when you look up close the eyes look very mean! (Which suits her nicely considering her nickname is killer bee....strike first, ask later)! It will be really nice to start working with her next week.
