I bought Pinky (4', Albino Hondo F) in oct 2009 for my and my son's enjoyment. Unfortunately, Pinky is like most kings and is very active and is hard to handle (doesnt bite or musk, though). I thought we'd look for something easir to handle, but my youngest understands that snakes dont care to be handled and he respects that. when i offered to get another that was easier to handle, (sm python or boa) he said he was happy with Pinky and doesnt want another. I'm pretty proud that an 11 year old knows the value of an animal without having it serve hisselfish needs to interact with her.

I was also having problems feeding pinky, but it turned out she has an aversion to rat pups. I went back to Jumbo mice and she began eating again regularly as before. Thanks for all your help and suggestions with the issue

Maybe he doesn't want another "instead" of pinky. But another in addition too....:crazy2:

I would recommend a rosy boa or a Children's python. Both of these species stay small and are known for usually being docile. They are also hardier and easier to feed/care for than ball pythons.

I'd love to get Austin another, but he doesnt live with me and I'm in an apt with a no pet clause. I guess it doesnt matter if I get "caught" with one or three, but it would be hard to deal with
