My 1 year old bp is getting big (about 3 1/2 ft) and he is also male. Now from what I read is that is what males usally top out at. Can I expect an unsually large male or is this just how fast they grow? I usualy feed every 10 days

apparently i accidentally put a pic of my blood up:rolleyes:
There is absolutely no way that the animal pictured is a one year old male.
Simply not possible.
The larget male that I have ever frown to a yearling (and I've had a few) was pushing 750g and about 2 feet.
From that picture and your description, that if it is in fact a male, that he is at leat 2-3 years old.
If it's a female (my inclination is to believe it is) than she could be 1.5-2 years old.

that looks to me like a yearling maybe you just have the shaq of snakes hope he can dunk
Babies are 10" to 14" long at birth. Your animal, as I suspected (male or female) is at LEAST 2 years old. Three if it's a male I would imagine.
"that looks to me like a yearling maybe you just have the shaq of snakes hope he can dunk "
I am very curious what characteristics that animal has to make you believe it is a yearling...

ok thanks just trying to get a question answered. I'm used to the local garter snakes been in pythons for a year now and I always try to get info. I do know he is male and can't be more than 2 yrs
For future reference, when you want to use a picture to show the size of the animal, put something in the picture that we all know the size of so we have something to reference; a dollar bill (though hundreds seem to be the favourite), a can of soup, etc..
Your pictures are completely useless for showing the size oc the animal.
