What smaller snakes out there as a pet eats very little? Are there snakes that will only eat once every 3 weeks or longer?

In my experiences, the smaller the snake is, the more often it feeds.

I just love small snakes, but they do eat a lot. (Smaller portions more often)

A larger snake like a python will only need feeding once a month.

And those little buggers will eat 2-3 times a day if you let them.

I have a whole bunch of little garter snakes and they pound down 6-8 pinkies each snake per week.

However they are always cruising about burning calories (why I love them so much)

Big colubrids, Boas and pythons will sit in one place for sometimes days without moving, so they don't burn many calories.

Also the smaller the snake is, the shorter the life expectancy is. Those brown snakes only live 5-7 years tops.
