thats a very nice carpet

in the picture it looks like your bulb does not have a guard round it.

a carpet will be able to wrap itself round that bulb and may get burnt.

not giving you a hard time just dont want you having to treat a burn on your snake

Its a 15watt so it doesn't get hot enough to burn her.

personally i would put a guard around it, they are cheep and its better to be safe than sorry.

if she trails herself through her water bowl then wraps herself round it the water can heat up to the point of burning her imo

i had a carpet in a faunarium trail itself through its water bowl then moved all the substrate so it was sitting on the bare tub floor.the heat matt was on the OUTSIDE of the tub yet my snake still burned its belly.

or you could go another way it drips water into the bulb fitting and gets electrocuted

its completely up to you but its safer to have bulbs guarded imo

You can buy te cages taht go round heatlamps from any reptile shop.

Lol, the post was asking about guards around lights. We bought our from reptile shop.
