Polliwogs in peril - Bullfrog tadpoles

Found this sad sight today, the puddle was all but dried up, there were dozens of tadpoles dying in the goo, so I did what I could.....

Bullfrogs take up to 24 months to morph into frogs, In all my years of living here I can't recall my water pits drying out this bad...

I just hope it rains soon.
