hey guys..
say when i buy my next female boa will i need to worry bout my male acting agressive and wierd when she gets gravid or when pheramones get into the air that he smells???? im thinking i would stack them on top of one another of coarse.. and i plan on purchasing her when a baby so it would take awhile i would imagine but still....but they obviously wouldnt be able to stare... watcha think??

As long as they are in separate cages, you should be fine. Males are generally never aggressive towards females, but can go off feed and get restless in their cages when they smell a receptive female in the vicinity. Remember, snakes do not really go into "heat"- they do not ovulate until they've bred (they're like cats that way), except in very rare hormonal imbalance cases. Therefore, as long as they are in their own cages, things will be fine. If you put them together to breed, just remove the female once you're sure she's gravid (stops eating, looks thicker, you see an ovulation) and return her to her own cage.

you put her in the males cage? i read that the male goes in the female cage?

You can do it either way, but usually people put the male in the female's cage. Female snakes, like us human ladies, are usually pickier about the who/what/when/where aspects of the deed than the males. Males will breed anything, anywhere....
