Hi guys,

I'm just after some opinions on JCP cages. I have read an article in a reptile magazine here in Aus stating that a 2x2x3 arboreal set up (by one of Australia's leading JCP breeders) was sufficient for them. I am a bit pressed for space at the moment and I'm just doing a bit of research on the set up. I may be able to push that to a pair of 2.5x2x3 arboreal set up for a pair. Do you guys think that would be sufficient for a JCP (bear in mind a have several different localities available to me that are around the 5 foot TL mark).

Cheers,

i just built 2 cages for my new adult carpets, 2'x2'x3.5 tall that will be fine, i here some say go 4 feet tall, i would have also, but my glass peices i cut down made 2, 3.5' out of each sheet so 3.5' it was lol

Our arboreal set up is coming this week is 2ft by 2ft by 4ft tall - from reading lots on JCP's recently have also heard that 3foot is ok unless you end up with a monster sized one in which case 4foot is preferred. We went with 4foot as the cages are ex display and therefore cheap!

yours would be ok in that

i personally preffer to keep all my adult carpets in 4x2x2ft tanks.

with the exception of my female diamond.she should hit around the 8 to 9 feet mark.i will put her in a 6ft length x 2ft depth x 3ft hieght when she reaches adult hood.diamonds imo need slightly different husbandary from all the other carpets.

you got some really nice jungle bloodlines over your way mate.dont forget to post some pictures of yours when you get them.

cheers shaun
