i have a baby ig right now and its hard to control him when i get him out. it takes awhile for him to settle down... is this hyperness usual for babies or will he settle down as he gets bigger? hes around 13 in or so right now.. thanks guys
Baby iguanas are spazzy by nature. He will hopefully start calming down once he figures out your not going to eat him.
If your lucky he will settle into a nice calm adult that won't tail whip you in the face when you get close.

IMO if he was a lazy and not-so-spastic baby, there is something wrong with him. He will warm up in time as long as you handle him frequently :) Iguanas need A LOT OF LOVE :D

most baby reptiles are a lot more "spazzy" than adults. This is normal.
A lethargic baby Ig is an unhealthy one.
