just wondering.. ever since seeing the pied ball morph i have fallen inlove and absolutely need one! i was wondering if anyone can tell me how rare these beauties are? easy to get in Alberta Canada or no? what kind of price range would i be looking at for a youngster as well..

They can be had for anywhere from $800- 2000, depending on age, gender and breeder. They are not that rare anymore, but not common enough to drive the price down much. Give it a few years and they'll be down around the $400-500 mark, just like the albinos. They are one of my favorite BP morphs, so as soon as they come down in price a bit, I'll be nabbing one. At this point in time though, you're probably better off getting a pair of 100% hets and breeding your own.

Het – an abbreviation for heterozygous.
Heterozygous – possessing two different genes for a given trait. An animal with one mutated, recessive gene still appears normal; its mutated gene can be inherited by future offspring. A codominant animal is heterozygous for the dominant form of its mutated gene, yet is different in appearance than both the wild-type and homozygous forms.
