I don't want to steal your thread baby, but here's a little more info...He's about a month old, he's eaten twice and shed once. And you can't tell from the pic, but he is very bright white at the head, and gets darker towards the mid section. unsexed. The picture is when I got him home, I was putting the uth on his tub, and he crawled into the uth box. So, that's now his hide.

Oh carpets are very addictive. They are so full of character and such beautiful, curious snakes. I have 6 carpets and would get more in a heartbeat if I had the room. Shauny, I've found my jungles to be just fine. I have a jungle/jag sibling who is pretty good- he can have nippy days, but mostly is fine, and a pure jungle lady who's a sweetheart. I have a jungle x diamond adult female who is flighty and quick but not bitey at all. The only carpets I've ever had trouble with were coastal babies- nasty little buggers. They'd smack their faces off the glass at me non-stop...lol.

you gotta laugh at the fiestyness of baby carpets.

the sound of thumping on the glass as you walk by.

out of all the carpets ive kept its only jungles ive had trouble with.this seems to be most uk jungle owners experience re reading uk forums.

glad your lot are all calm kim as they can be a bit of a handfull when they become sneaky possesed adults.

cheers shaun

Update: Genesis came out of hiding today, so we took a few moments to handle him. He was a feisty little bugger. Struck at the wife a few times. (I think that means he likes her.) I shot a little video, not the best, again I apologize for the quality. We'll leave him alone tomorrow and attempt a feeding on Friday. I'll try to get better pictures then. (Turn your volume down)

Yeah, we fed him yesterday and he must have been pretty hungry cause he was snapping all over the place, needless to say I never did get better pics. He struck at the pink several times, we actually had to move the feeding tub to a different room and cover it before he would eat. You got to love these little fellas. Acting so tough.

We managed to get hold of a decent camera, so took a few pics over the weekend. He's calmed down a lot.....ok, not really he's still a feisty lil b@$t@rd, but he's so darn cute.

I am just kidding with you. I use to have a baby retic and Savanna monitor that i had to wear gloves to handle. Hopefully he tames down soon for you. I got luck all 3 jungles i haved had were pass that stage when i got them.

No offense taken Chuck, it's kind of funny, I've been tagged a couple times by him. It's more the jump factor, than fear of being bitten. Once you realize that he will strike at anything that moves, you just learn to control your movements so that he doesn't get so jumpy. He has drawn blood from my wife on one occasion.

Is he still fesity once out? Our yearling JCP is pretty feisty in his viv so i am using a glove to get him out of there but once out he settles real quick so i remove the glove to get him used to me more.

The gloves are off. I took him out to feed him last night and he did not tag me once. So I believe he is calming down a bit finally!

Me? Naaah. I wore manly gloves. (I'm prone to the shaky hands occasionally.) But he draws blood on my wife almost every time.
