It's time for Duke (Ball Python) to get his final enclosure. I want to custom make this enclosure so I can be in complete control of the entire environment. i'm thinking of:
6x4x2
Melamine Sides and back. Glass front and Floor. Screen Top. The floor will be glass, because I see that being the best material to transmit heat from the entire tank heater (am I wrong?) The screen on the top, for ventilation as well as for heat lamps.
The sides and back interior I'm going to try and figure out how to get some kind of textures back similar to what what seen here: http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/enclosure-reptile-room-showcase/83468-finished-enclosure-pictures.html
The front glass will be 2 parts... and somehow I'm going to get both sides to slide open. Still trying to think of the best way to do this to make it secure, as well as to physically install it.
Any ideas on what I'm going to sit this enclosure on?? Anybody make something similar that can give me construction ideas for the window? or Textured sides and back? and price?
Also, if I wanted to make two of these for a potential Boa I want to get (If Florida still allows it :|) That could be a possibility as well.... ideas? Thanks! :D
