these guys entertained us for 3 hours until it was time for the meal
http://i429.photobucket.com/albums/qq17/spilota01/diamond%20tank/diamond%20tank/wedding2010pics051.jpg

it was held in glencorse estate, they were married in the private kirk on the estate grounds.glencorse old kirk dates back to 1636,robert louis stevenson worshiped at it.it was pretty nuts thinking all those years ago robert louis stevenson may have sat where i am now.it was a beautifull estate with a lot of acres belonging to it.

robert louis stevenson wrote about it and its woodland setting on number of occasions

" if my spirit returns to earth it will be found wandering through glencorse woods or sitting on the old bridge at glencorse kirk, the finest spot on earth "

the kirk is also said to have inspired his short story, " the body snatcher "

there were butlers shuffling around with free champagne and aurdouves on silver trays for 3 hours until the meal was ready.

we got ran about the estate in little golf buggys.

it was quite surreal to be there and to see how the upper middle class think and live.

Looks and sounds like you had a good time. Looking good in the traditional garb! If not a little uncomfortable. I wish we had traditions in my family.....(Hmm maybe I should start one. :hmm:)

i want a kilt

to be honest i'd rather wear a kilt for day to day living than jeans or trousers pal

they are the most comfortable thing ive ever worn.warm too believe it or not.

just have to remember your wearing no underwear when your sitting down.

So sorry Shaun, I was trying to think of something to say and let this fall through the cracks.

Looks like it was a great day.

You have a lovely lady there, and from what you have told us about her, you are a lucky man.

Hope the new couple are as lucky!
