We fed our ball (unfortunately I don't know his weight - he's about 2.5-3' long and about 2 1/2" around) last night a small rat and he's looking like he's hungry again - should we attempt to feed him? I don't want to overfeed but I certainly don't want to underfeed either...

THANKS!
Angela

imo, if your corn snake is 2.5 inches around than i see nothing wrong with feeding small rats. however if he loses his bump farely quick and continues searching for food maybe try feeding him with smaller time intervals in between.

no just feed once a week, after eatting the small rat did the snake have a small bump.

feeding more than one pray at a time can make the snake regurgitate its food. feeding one pray at the right size is the way to go.
