just a quick question from a new jungle python owner.. i got my baby yesterday and am wondering if the music from my downstairs tenant will upset her in any way i should be worried about? should i move the tank? or would she be better off in my room with the music rather then in a room where there are constantly people moving around?

thanks alot!

Welcome to the forum...

Sounds like a catch 22....

WElcome - would be great to see pictures.

Snakes do pick up vibrations - guess it depends how loud and how close the "noise" is.

Both will stress the snake.

If the floor shakes noticeably (to you) then the snake feels it for sure.

Lots of traffic stresses snakes too, But if you get a viv that has wood sides and only one glass pane on the front, you can minimize this stress easier than getting the downstairs neighbor to care about your snake.

If you can feel the bass through your floor, just complain to the landlord. Your downstairs neighbor can buy a pair of headphones like a normal civilized person.

Im about to be one of these annoying people with loud music lol, when you spend big money on speakers you wanna make sure they work well lol. My snakes are at the other end of the house so hopefully they dont feel vibes from it to much.
Also i have a snake in high traffic room and he absolutely loves it, most will hate it but this guy loves the attention.

Back before I was a homeowner, the last annoying music neighbor was the landlord.

if your jungles eating ok and coming out and hanging of a branch most days then it wont be affecting him as thats normal behaviour for them.that said you do get the odd jungle who likes to stay in its hide most of the time.

if he's off his food and acting nervous then try finding him a quieter spot.

most of my carpets are in my bedroom.the tv,music and human traffic dont seem to affect them at all.they all eat and shed just fine

got some pic's of your jungle ?
cheers shaun
