You have at least 2-3 years to go, I'd relax a bit and enjoy your lovely snake,

You will have a long wait mate, as has been said i usually start to breed around the 3-4 year mark and give them plenty of size first.

It's usually a good idea, no matter the animal, to wait until you know the ins and outs of taking care of one from youth through adulthood before breeding anyways. I say get a female now and see how you like them as pets... by the time they're both about 3 you should know if you've got the time and patience for breeding. I've known breeders of dogs and they would definitely give similar advice.

At this point, you need to feed your animals for the next few years, and do a whole crapload of reading. Read everything you can and then ask as many questions as you have that you couldn't get answered from the research you did on your own.

Also, don't worry about getting one early to let them "get acclimated" snakes only cohabitate in the wild for sex and, occasionally, brumation. Most snakes should never have cage mates, they don't need them, or want them. Outside of breeding season those other snakes are just competition (at best) or food (at worst).
